Dryflow Turboforce® Junior Plus
The Turboforce® Junior Plus is a popular, budget-priced, high speed hand dryer. It is available in White (TFJ01), Brushed stainless (TFJ03), and Polished Chrome (TFJ02), and has been on the market for over 5 years now. It’s notable for its energy saving, intelligent heat system that senses the external temperature and only adds the heat required to make hand drying comfortable without heating the air needlessly every time.
How does the dryer perform?

ADD TO CARTDryflow Turboforce® Junior Plus - Value
At £149.90 + vat you can’t go wrong with this dryer. You obviously wouldn’t expect it to be a better dryer than a Dyson, Machflow, or Turboforce® and it isn’t. But it is a great all-round performer, covered by an impressive 3-year warranty.
Dryflow Turboforce® Junior Plus - Appearance
An ultra-compact and simple design. We are fairly indifferent to the physical design, it’s a small, functional box design, not unattractive nor is it something you would make a feature of.
Dryflow Turboforce® Junior Plus - Speed
The manufacturer claims 10 seconds, our stringent dry testing measured it within the 15-18 seconds which may be 5 seconds off the premium dryers but it's comparable or faster than many dryers, like the Biodrier Eco and Airforce that come in at twice the price.
Dryflow Turboforce® Junior Plus - Efficiency
The energy-efficiency of a dryer depends on 2 things, rated power to produce a given dry speed.
The rated power of the Turboforce®® Junior Plus ranges from 0.5 kW to 1.15 kW, which means consumption is 2.08 - 3.19 W/hour per dry.
1000 dries would cost between 30p to 69p which is a 95.4 to 98% saving against paper towels. This is as good as just about any dryer on the market! Traditional dryers will use 25-30 watt/hours per dry.
Dryflow Turboforce Junior Plus - Quiet operation
The Turboforce Junior Plus is really easy on the ears. So much so that it’s been found to be acceptable in infant school environments. The manufacturer reports 72 dB(A) from 1 metre, this always increases in a real washroom environment but this is definitely a dryer where noise is not an issue for all but the most sensitive locations.
Dryflow Turboforce®® Junior Plus - Vandal resistance
Compact with a solid steel cover. It's fine for areas likely to be subject to vandalism, and at very worst some cover damage is much better to a £149.90 + vat dryer than it is to something costing £300 to £800
Dryflow Turboforce® Junior Plus - Life expectancy
The Turboforce® Junior Plus has a 1000-hour brushed motor so you would expect it to last for about 200,000 dries. Just have a think before putting this in somewhere with high traffic, you might be better paying a bit extra for something longer lasting.
Dryflow Turboforce® Junior Plus and the environment
Dryflow conducted a cradle to grave carbon footprint assessment of the Turboforce® Junior Plus using Climate partners software. The embedded carbon in production, transport, and disposal was approximately 18 Kg/CO2. The low carbon footprint is due to its compact, light-weight construction.
Dryflow Turboforce® Junior Plus - Conclusion
A cracking dryer for the money! If you are on a budget and look after a facility where the dryer is unlikely to be used more than 100 times a day then this dryer will give you great service. Great energy efficiency, a low carbon footprint, decent performance, reasonable noise levels and really reliable.
