Need help choosing which power option?
1. Battery Only
Benefits:
- No need for a nearby power outlet: Great for areas without access to electrical outlets, such as outdoor settings or older bathrooms.
- Easier installation: No wiring required, making it quicker and less expensive to install.
- Portability: Can be moved or reinstalled in a different location without worrying about power supply.
- No risk of power outages affecting operation: It continues to function even if there’s a power cut.
- Safer in wet environments: Reduced risk of electrical issues in areas exposed to water.
Considerations:
- You’ll need to replace the batteries periodically (depending on usage), which adds some maintenance.
2. Battery or Mains Transformer
Benefits:
- More flexible: You can switch between battery power and mains power as needed.
- Lower maintenance: When connected to mains power, you won’t have to worry about replacing batteries.
- Backup power: If there’s a power outage, you can switch to battery power and keep it functional.
- Cost-effective in the long term: Mains power can be cheaper than continuously replacing batteries.
Considerations:
- Requires a nearby power source for the mains transformer.
- Installation can be more complex if wiring is needed.
