These are ideal for washroom doors. Germs can live on surfaces for days and transfer from one surface to another via the hands. As a well known source of cross contamination, door push plates should be frequently cleaned to minimise the risk of spreading germs. But what about between cleaning routines? The robust yet stylish Purehold Antibacterial Push Plates use silver technology to kill up to 99.9% bacteria deposited on the door plate by users, reducing the risk of picking up germs by the next person to touch the plate.  This gives a constant 24/7 protection and is so easy to install.

This is the starter pack XXL plate size 600 x 120mm. The pack contains:

• 1 x Aluminium Back Plate (fixes permanently to door)
• 1 x ABS Front Panel (replace every 12 months)

Front panels can be purchased when required and being magnetically secured are easily removed and replaced.

When microbes are deposited onto the door push plate by users the Silver ions (Ag) penetrate the cell membrane of the microbe. The ions suffocate the microbe and attack its DNA to prevent reproduction. 

Common microbes found on doors include E-coli, Salmonella, Camplylobacteur and Staph Aureus. Independent testing to standard ISO 22196:2011 (available upon request) has proven that the plate will:

• Kill 99.99% of E-coli
• Kill 99.99% of Staph Aureus
• Kill 98.6% of Salmonella

Further independent testing (available upon request) showed that the plate is 96.4% (on average) cleaner than a standard door plate.

Once these are fitted, they last for approximately 12 months (dependent upon usage). A handy timestrip indicator on the front plate prompts you to when a replacement is needed.  After use, each front plate can be recycled, minimising waste and limiting the impact on the environment.
