What are the main benefits of a fast hand dryer?

How fast is a high-speed hand dryer?

The quickest models in the world will dry the hands in around 10-15 seconds, although we class ‘fast’ as anything under 20 seconds. In our experience, although you may see it advertised elsewhere, there is no unit that can currently dry the hands to a satisfactory level in under 10 seconds.

Are fast hand dryers noisy?

There is a trade-off between noise level and drying time. Quieter models tend to have a slower motor speed and thus a slower dry time. That said, products have come a long way since the bad old days of 40-second dry times and improved sound engineering has led to even fast dryers being reasonably quiet. Mitsubishi units are excellent for balancing rapid drying times with reasonable noise levels.

If noise is a concern, an adjustable speed model may be a good option for you. These allow for motor speeds to be manually altered, either by a high/low switch or a dial. These are great for buildings that require a standardised design throughout but certain areas are noise sensitive.
