Door handles are well known to be a source of cross contamination and should be frequently cleaned to minimise the risk of spreading germs. But what about between cleaning routines? The robust yet stylish Purehold Antibacterial Door Handle Cover users silver technology to kill up to 99.9% bacteria deposited on the handle by users, reducing the risk of picking up germs by the next person to touch the handle.  This gives a constant 24/7 protection and is so easy to install. Just simply click into place in under 30 seconds over existing handles.

These are to fit most lever door handles depending upon the shape. This product page is the cover for RTD lever handles.

The RTD LEVER COVER WILL FIT:

• DIAMETER : 18mm, 19mm, 20mm, 21mm, or 22mm
• LENGTH : any size between 110mm to 140mm

When microbes are deposited onto the door handle by users the Silver ions (Ag) penetrate the cell membrane of the microbe. The ions suffocate the microbe and attack its DNA to prevent reproduction. 

Common microbes found on door handles include E-coli, Salmonella, Camplylobacteur and Staph Aureus. Independent testing to standard ISO 22196:2011 (available upon request) has proven that the cover will:

• Kill 99.99% of E-coli
• Kill 99.99% of Staph Aureus
• Kill 98.6% of Salmonella

Further independent testing (available upon request) showed that the cover is 96.4% (on average) cleaner than a standard lever handle.

Once these are fitted, they last for approximately 6 months (dependent upon usage). A handy timestrip indicator on the cover prompts you to when a replacement is needed.  After use, each cover can be recycled, minimising waste and limiting the impact on the environment.
